Okay, I am just about at whits end with this crap. This has got to be the most bogus horseshit on national media to date. It seems these days the media will pick up on just about any crap about our rock star President and just go on and on about it for days and sometimes weeks. The "Beer Summit" has gone on for a friggin' week now, it even almost stiffeled the Michael Jackson fandango, not quite, but almost.
The news media just can't seem to be able to pry itself off of this beer party subject and of course the incident(s) that brought it on. Even CNN who I normally consider the best news source can't quit talking about it. It would be comical if it wasn't so irritating. I'm sick of seeing Sgt. Crowley and Professor Gates and I'm really sick of seeing Obama, he's been on TV, I swear, every single day that he has been President.
They have to go over every detail of Gates arrest, the 911 call and the unfortunate woman who made it, then the President's "miscalibration" of words over and over again. Then we have to listen to all the cute little phrases and names they come up with in association with this beer event. Let's see, we had "Beer Summit", then we had "red, light and blue" (referring to the type of booze each man wanted to drink) and of course "teachable moment".
I really can't understand how a sane, logical media could keep going on and on about the same shit day after day and in this case I really mean complete shit. We have a war going on, an economy that is in the shitter and congress and the President trying to sink it further, I would think there would be a whole lot more important things to talk about than this beer party. It makes me think they are trying to pull the wool over our eyes while they try to push the health bill and other things through congress.
Then to top it off, this Justin Barrett character has to push send on his his dumbass email calling Gates a "banana-eating jungle monkey". Don't these people ever learn? If there is a thing going on or if you are a politician, stupid emails, cheating on your wife, fooling with young girls or boys, etc. is not a good idea.
Well maybe someday our news media will get back to doing serious reporting like uncovering dirty deeds like they did in such cases as Watergate back in the day. And let's hope they do it before the country goes down the proverbial drain.
